Job Description
Large Loss Bodily Injury Manager leading teams handling complex bodily injury claims for National General, a specialty insurance provider. Driving claim strategy, resolution, talent development, and operational outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement projects and initiatives within a field discipline aligned with claims strategic direction
- Manage a subset of operations for a market claim office, typically with more than 125 employees
- Lead, train, inspire, engage, and motivate leaders and employees across business segments
- Ensure direct reports understand business objectives, results, and processes
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and customer-centric environment
- Develop and direct business unit action plans
- Manage and resolve escalated customer communications, concerns, conflicts, and issues
- Perform human resources duties including resource management, hiring, performance management, talent development, and compensation planning
- Make complex claim decisions
- Identify hiring, training, and succession-planning opportunities
- Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies and process improvements
- Analyze results and develop strategies and action plans for customer service, loss cost management, and expense controls
Requirements:
- Prior large loss claims expertise
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams
- Experience navigating complex liability, coverage, and negotiation challenges
- Experience with bodily injury claims with policy limits up to 100/300 across diverse jurisdictions
- Must possess authorization to work in the United States
- Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold outside appointments during employment
- Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must surrender that license when instructed
- Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions when working from home
- Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
- Supervisory experience/duties
