Job Description
Large Loss Bodily Injury Manager leading adjusters handling complex, high-exposure claims for National General, a US personal and commercial insurer. Driving claim outcomes, talent development, and strategic process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement projects and initiatives within a field-discipline subset aligned with claims strategic direction and strategic goals
- Manage a subset of operations for a team within a market claim office, including leading, training, inspiring, engaging, and motivating leaders and employees
- Oversee a team of seasoned Large Loss Adjusters handling complex bodily injury claims across all 50 states
- Ensure direct reports understand business objectives, results, and processes
- Foster a collaborative environment that inspires and motivates employees
- Develop and direct business unit action plans
- Manage and resolve escalated customer communications, concerns, conflicts, and issues
- Handle human resources duties including resource management, hiring, performance management, talent development, and compensation planning
- Make complex claim decisions and identify hiring, training, and succession-planning opportunities
- Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies and process improvements to achieve corporate financial outcomes
- Analyze results and contribute to strategies and action plans supporting customer service, loss-cost management, and expense-control goals
Requirements:
- Experienced Large Loss Bodily Injury Manager
- Proven leadership experience
- Strong background managing high-exposure claims across Commercial, Homeowners, Personal Auto, and other lines of business
- Experience handling claims in challenging litigation environments and high-severity venues
- Exceptional technical expertise and strategic oversight of significant bodily injury exposures
- Strong claims management skills
- Ability to manage claims with policy limits of 250/500 and higher
- Supervisory experience
- Candidates must possess authorization to work in the United States
- Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold outside appointments during employment
- Applicants seeking an adjuster role who hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team
