Job Description

Wind Hub Manager leading multi-site turbine operations, safety, customers, and performance for GE Vernova’s renewable-energy business. Managing hub teams, dispatch, maintenance, and operational excellence across Abilene-area sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a multi-site wind service hub and support daily hub operations
  • Manage turbine output and prioritize turbine return to service
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships and meet contractual requirements
  • Lead staffing, coaching, training, corrective actions, and succession planning for employees and contracted partners
  • Own the hub safety culture and execute daily Plan of the Day calls
  • Prioritize and manage dispatch schedules
  • Serve as the customer point of contact and escalate concerns
  • Partner with Customer Performance Director and Sales, Commercial Operations, Sourcing, Finance, and HR teams
  • Drive safety, team engagement, talent development, and operational excellence across multiple sites
  • Visit each site weekly
  • Manage fiscal oversight, quality control, facility operations, outage management, and productivity improvements

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience inclusive of leadership
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a field services or equivalent role in the energy industry
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the hub as needed, including possible overnights
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Advanced computer skills using word and spreadsheet processing, email programs, facility control and management systems, and diagnostic/troubleshooting tools
  • Wind turbine or energy industry experience
  • Advanced electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic experience, including hydraulic power tools
  • Experience with heavy equipment for facility maintenance and knowledge of crane and rigging requirements
  • Comprehensive writing skills for contractual reporting obligations
  • Strong functional knowledge of Operations and Maintenance best practices, planning, organizing, coordinating, executing, and controlling wind hub activities
  • Knowledge of productivity improvements, operational excellence, and outage management
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to adapt to change and influence others
  • Ability and willingness to take initiative and work without direct supervision
  • Ability to work with personnel at all levels inside and outside the Wind Hub
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Technical Certification in Wind Energy or Electrical/Electronic field preferred
