Job Description

General Ledger Accountant at Sutherland managing financial data for retail programs. Responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and internal controls compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Monthly & Daily General Ledger Maintenance
  • Inventory Accounting & COGS Adjustments
  • Bank & Cash Reconciliation
  • AP & AR Subledger Reconciliation
  • Fixed Assets Accounting
  • Accruals & Prepayments
  • Financial Closing & Reporting
  • Internal Controls & Compliance

Requirements:

  • 5-8+ years of experience as a General Ledger Accountant
  • Lawson ERP knowledge/experience
  • Accounting experience supporting the retail industry will be a major plus
  • A customer-oriented attitude, handling first level of communications and issues
  • Capacity to efficiently manage time and keep track of multiple schedules
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
