Job Description
Link Building Manager developing strategies for high-impact off-site SEO and leading campaigns for legal industry clients. Collaborating with teams on link acquisition and outreach initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Own and execute high-impact link-building strategies while driving outreach, partnerships, and campaign quality.
- Lead complex, high-priority link-building campaigns across guest posting, niche edits, local sponsorships, digital PR, citations, and authority link acquisition.
- Conduct competitor backlink analysis to identify strategic opportunities, inform campaign direction, and maintain competitive positioning.
- Ensure all placements meet established quality standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with publishers, site owners, and journalists.
- Develop outreach messaging that drives responses and engagement.
- Cultivate long-term partnerships to generate consistent link opportunities.
- Mentor and support Link Building Specialists.
- Review campaigns to ensure quality, consistency, and performance.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the content, SEO, and account teams, aligning link-building efforts with broader marketing and client strategies.
Requirements:
- 4 to 6 years of SEO experience with a strong focus on link building and off-site strategy
- Demonstrated experience running outreach campaigns at scale
- Solid understanding of backlink quality, anchor strategy, and Google's ranking factors
- Proficiency with Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, GA4, and Google Search Console
- Proficiency with link building tools such as Pitchbox, Buzzstream, etc a plus.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior team members
- Strong written communication skills, particularly in outreach and relationship building
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
- Agency experience preferred
- Existing journalist relationships are a plus
