Job Description

Local SEO Account Manager handling SEO for home service clients in the U.S. Driving results and building relationships with business owners through direct communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of home service and trades clients
  • Conduct client onboarding calls, monthly check-ins, and strategy reviews
  • Audit clients' local search presence and build customized SEO strategies
  • Translate ranking and traffic data into clear, actionable client reports
  • Proactively identify new opportunities to improve client performance
  • Optimize and manage Google Business Profiles
  • Implement on-site SEO improvements (primarily on WordPress sites)
  • Build and manage local citations and directory listings
  • Monitor rankings, traffic, and lead metrics using tools like BrightLocal, Whitespark, and Google Search Console
  • Communicate directly with U.S.-based business owners with professionalism and confidence
  • Coordinate with the web design team on site changes and technical implementations
  • Stay current on local SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and industry changes
  • Participate in internal team meetings and ongoing professional development

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on local SEO experience
  • Strong knowledge of Google Business Profile optimization and management
  • Solid understanding of on-site SEO as it applies to small and local businesses
  • Experience working with WordPress
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills (near-native level required, you will be client-facing daily)
  • Genuine enjoyment of talking with clients, keeping them informed, and building relationships
  • Ability to work full-time (~45 hours per week)
  • Availability to work U.S. Eastern Time zone hours (starting at 7:30 AM ET)
  • Reliable internet connection and professional remote setup
  • Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience in or strong familiarity with the home service or trades industry (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, garage doors, landscaping, etc.)
  • Experience with local rank tracking tools (BrightLocal, Whitespark, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Google Local Services Ads (LSAs)
  • Experience managing multiple client accounts in an agency setting
  • Background in client reporting and data storytelling (GA4, Google Search Console)
