Job Description

Manufacturing professionals auditing AI-generated work products for Mercor. Reviewing realism, technical accuracy, grading defensibility, and practitioner usability for frontier-model training.

Responsibilities:

  • Audit AI agents' completed manufacturing-related work products in the reviewer's professional field
  • Assess whether AI-generated tasks are realistic and relevant to the job
  • Verify domain content, including standards, figures, regulations, terminology, and constraints
  • Review an AI grader's eleven yes/no assessments against the produced files
  • Explain disagreements with the grading and provide written reasons
  • Independently band the work and assess whether a practitioner could use or accept it
  • Compare the reviewer's score band with the reported score
  • Review each item in approximately one hour without performing or redoing the underlying task

Requirements:

  • 5+ years placing real purchase orders and negotiating with suppliers you were accountable for (Buyers and Purchasing Agents)
  • 5+ years running a production shift or line, owning the schedule and personnel (First-Line Supervisors of Production and Operating Workers)
  • 4+ years designing mechanical parts or systems that were built (Mechanical Engineers)
  • PE certification is a plus for Mechanical Engineers
  • 3+ years performing capacity, throughput, layout, or time studies that changed plant operations (Industrial Engineers)
  • 4+ years owning receiving, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy in a real warehouse or plant (Shipping, Receiving and Inventory Clerks)
  • Practical manufacturing experience, including root-cause investigations, PPAP, first-article inspection, cycle-count variance ownership, or correcting method sheets
  • Near-native business English
  • Comfort using spreadsheets or PDFs to reconcile figures
  • Independent contractor engagement
  • Must not require H-1B or STEM OPT support
