Job Description

Pfizer oncology medical leader directing US breast cancer field strategy and HCP engagement. Overseeing field teams, insights, training, budgets, and cross-functional medical strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish the field-based HCP engagement strategy and provide oversight and direction for the US Oncology Field Medical Breast Team
  • Serve as the primary medical lead engaging and collaborating with stakeholders across Medical Affairs, Commercial, Clinical Development and Operations, and CMAO Platform Functions
  • Analyze and share field medical insights concisely and actionably to inform strategy across Pfizer Oncology
  • Partner with the Therapeutic Area USMA Lead to create aligned strategic plans consistent with the US Oncology Medical Affairs single medical organization approach
  • Oversee all aspects of Field Medical Team execution and attainment of US Medical Affairs business objectives
  • Partner with the US HQ Medical Team to develop and execute field medical strategy and tactics as a core member of the US Medical Leadership Team
  • Develop, implement, and refine external HCP engagement field medical strategy
  • Collaborate with the US National Commercial Franchise Lead on compliant medical and commercial collaboration
  • Coordinate with Clinical Development and Operations on strategic priorities and field medical enablement for company-sponsored studies
  • Partner with CMAO Platform functions to develop oncology and therapeutic-area KPIs and dashboards
  • Evaluate field medical team performance to optimize execution and support across programs
  • Contribute to field medical content development strategy and resource assessment
  • Ensure field medical team training in partnership with the Medical Content Channel Team
  • Coordinate field medical Congress Strategy and HCP Engagement Plan
  • Manage T&E and project budgets for the Breast Field Medical Team
  • Manage field-based Team Leaders

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in Medical Affairs
  • Field Medical leadership experience
  • Strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of leading high-functioning field medical teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and time management skills
  • High emotional intelligence
  • Strong collaboration skills and demonstrated agility in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with people at all levels of the organization
  • PhD, PharmD, MD, or MS
  • Ability to regularly fly on airplanes for HCP/customer meetings, NYHQ meetings, and regional and national scientific meetings
  • Flexibility to travel 60–80% of the time
  • Reasonable proximity to an airline hub city
  • Ability to work occasional weekends for advisory boards and congress meetings
  • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States required
  • U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
