Job Description

Operations Manager for CEO Lawyer supporting law firms and educational partners in a remote role. Responsible for optimizing operations, managing interdepartmental collaboration, and improving workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support operational consistency and accountability.
  • Monitor productivity and workflow performance; communicate key findings to leadership.
  • Facilitate quarterly metrics meetings for teams of four or more, ensuring clear reporting and action planning.
  • Analyze internal processes and identify opportunities to streamline and optimize firm-wide operations.
  • Collaborate with the Intake, Legal, HR, Finance, and Administrative teams to improve communication and workflow efficiency.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination for interdepartmental tasks and projects.
  • Ensure alignment between departments to support smooth client experiences and internal operations.
  • Assist with general administrative duties, office coordination, and documentation.
  • Support HR tasks, including onboarding, policy updates, and personnel file management.
  • Provide light accounting and payroll support, including timesheets, expense tracking, billing coordination, and basic financial documentation.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in operations management, preferably within a legal environment or professional services firm.
  • Demonstrated ability to create SOPs, KPIs, and operations documentation.
  • Experience preparing and leading quarterly performance or metrics reviews.
  • Working knowledge of office administration, workflow management, and productivity systems.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and payroll processes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • HR experience or exposure to HR practices (preferred).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively.
  • Collaborative, flexible, and comfortable working across multiple departments.
