Job Description

Financial Data Capturer for a news and market intelligence publisher. Role focuses on data management and administrative support with a remote work setup.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately capture and update fund performance data, manager profiles, and market intelligence into the central database.
  • Cross-verify data entries against source documents (e.g., fact sheets and reports) to ensure 100% accuracy and consistency.
  • Follow up with fund managers and industry partners via email and telephone to collect missing data or clarify information.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, newsletters, and administrative tasks related to the annual Symposium.
  • Maintain an efficient digital filing system for all industry reports and sensitive commercial documentation.

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Finance, or Data Management is advantageous.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data entry or administrative roles, ideally within the financial services or media industries.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data formatting, basic formulas) and general computer literacy.
  • Exceptional precision with the ability to spot errors in complex numerical data sets.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills for professional interaction with global clients.
  • A high degree of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial data.
  • A proactive, "can-do" attitude with the ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
  • A keen interest in the African financial markets and alternative investment space.
