Job Description
Pediatric Sales Specialist growing Abbott’s Similac and PediaSure products across Montgomery County hospitals and offices. Managing territory sales, hospital contracting, clinical education, and product launches.
Responsibilities:
- Promote, manage, and grow Abbott Pediatric Nutritional products in hospital and office settings
- Develop and support territory sales goals for Similac and PediaSure
- Conduct hospital negotiations and contracting
- Deliver product, clinical study, protocol, and guideline information in a selling environment
- Support new product launches
- Navigate hospital departments including NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries, and Nursing units
- Work with dietitians, physicians, and nurses
- Manage administrative responsibilities and budgets
- Cover a territory including DC, Arlington, and Montgomery County
- Travel approximately 5% of the time
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2+ years of healthcare sales experience combined with clinical experience
- Stability and proven success in sales
- Subject matter expertise and high business acumen
- Knowledge of hospital settings, specifically pediatrics, is a plus
- Verification of vendor credentialing requirements, which may include COVID-19 vaccination
- Ability to work effectively with dietitians, physicians, and nurses
- Comprehensive knowledge of products, clinical studies, protocols, and guidelines
- Effective administrative skills
- Budget management skills
- Ability to function independently with initiative and autonomy
- Self-motivated approach to achieving short- and long-term goals
