Job Description
Regional sales representative driving public safety software sales to government agencies. Prospecting, managing territories, and growing customer relationships for Global Public Safety.
Responsibilities:
- Align sales activities with the goals of Global Public Safety
- Aggressively prospect, develop, and manage new business to drive revenue
- Convert prospective clients into customers
- Maintain existing customer relationships
- Develop client and partner referrals
- Develop regional territory sales for existing and new-name business
- Contact potential customers systematically and professionally
- Plan, coordinate, and roll out targeted marketing events to drive sales
- Ensure quality representation of product and service capabilities
- Stay involved with customers after the sale to ensure satisfaction
- Demonstrate command of the product line
- Participate in national and regional conferences and user groups
- Maintain working relationships with customer staff at all levels
- Establish key industry contacts to grow knowledge of the parking permitting and enforcement market
- Meet standards outlined in the Sales Compensation Plan
- Achieve territory sales goals
Requirements:
- 5+ years Public Safety software sales experience preferred
- Hunter attitude with a competitive spirit
- Customer facing experience with state or local governments/Public Sector
- Experience in public safety software or related industry preferred
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quota and developing and managing a consistent sales pipeline
- Understanding of government agency multi-process sales cycles preferred
- Works effectively within a collaborative and cohesive, team based environment
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Outstanding customer service and organizational skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
- Positive, results oriented mindset
- Ability to multi-task effectively and to consistently meet assigned deadlines
- Self-starter with ability to work well independently and in groups
