Job Description
People Advisor providing high-quality HR guidance and problem-solving at Paymentology. Supporting managers and employees across the employee lifecycle in a global payments technology environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and accurate advice to managers and employees on core people topics, including performance management, sick leave, onboarding, probation, policy interpretation, and conduct matters.
- Manage end-to-end recurring and moderately complex employee relations cases, ensuring appropriate documentation, risk assessment, and escalation only where required.
- Apply sound judgement to balance policy, employment law principles, and contextual considerations to deliver pragmatic and people-focused outcomes.
- Own defined People processes end-to-end, including onboarding, offboarding, contract amendments, probation tracking, performance cycle administration, and employee documentation.
- Maintain accurate and compliant People data across systems, supporting payroll inputs, audit readiness, and high-quality reporting.
- Identify inefficiencies in workflows and implement practical improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and employee experience.
- Lead or support People initiatives such as policy updates, benefits changes, system enhancements, manager enablement activities, and engagement projects.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Legal, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure effective execution of people-related activities.
- Support the adoption of new tools or processes by preparing clear communications, guidance, and light training for stakeholders.
- Prepare People data, dashboards, and reports, including turnover, absence trends, and probation outcomes, and translate insights for managers.
- Identify patterns within recurring issues, highlighting risks and opportunities for improvement to senior HR colleagues.
- Advocate for a consistent and positive employee experience by resolving recurring operational challenges and contributing to culture and engagement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Strong HR generalist capability with experience handling recurring and moderately complex people matters.
- Working knowledge of HR processes, policies, and employment law principles, with the ability to apply them pragmatically.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Clear and confident communication skills, able to translate policies and decisions into practical guidance for stakeholders.
- Ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively across teams and functions.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Human Resources or a related field.
- 4–6+ years’ experience in HR advisory, people operations, or a similar generalist role, aligned with IC4 expectations.
- Experience using HRIS platforms, collaboration tools, and people reporting dashboards.
