Job Description
Manager of People & Development at Würk advancing HR strategies for a purpose-driven workforce management firm. Championing culture and employee lifecycle in highly regulated industries.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the General Counsel to improve the employee experience and to develop and implement HR strategies and initiates aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Manage and develop the People & Talent Coordinator.
- Bridge management and employees by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Maintain the Total Rewards programs, including benefits, compensation, LOA, etc.
- Own learning and development needs across the organization to foster growth and fill gaps.
- Maintain excellent standards of HRIS data integrity, including regular audits and compliance checks.
- Process payroll bi-weekly and support employees with cases around payroll.
- Administer HR policies and procedures; appropriately collaborate with General Counsel to ensure policies comply with laws; deliver training to managers and employees as appropriate to ensure understanding and compliance with policies.
- Support Legal and Finance with special projects, like audits.
- Promote Würk’s mission, mindset and Results on Purpose initiatives.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant human resources experience
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources or a closely related field
- Proven ability to support innovation and change
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to multi-task in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Experience in dealing with complex employee relations issues
- HRIS and solid data and technical competency
- Strong familiarity and experience executing HR disciplines
- High degree of collaboration and team orientation
- Critical skills necessary to build trust and relationships as well as to partner with all levels of management
- Ability to share and seek feedback from others constructively
- Preferred: SHRM-CP or PHR certification
