Job Description
Principal Specialist supporting the global benefits strategy at Collins Aerospace. Collaborating with HR partners to enhance employee experience and oversee benefits programs.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Support: Contribute to the design and execution of the global benefits strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide Total Rewards objectives
- Transformation Initiatives: Support large-scale benefits transformation projects, including Time Away from Work, Health & Welfare, and Retirement programs
- Program Administration: Oversee key aspects of benefit program operations in collaboration with Enterprise Services, Corporate Benefits, Payroll, and other key stakeholders
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements and support risk mitigation related to benefits programs
- Vendor & Partner Management: Support evaluation of external vendors, brokers, and service providers to ensure high-quality delivery and alignment with enterprise standards
- Systems Enablement: Assist with the deployment and optimization of HR technologies and systems that enhance Total Rewards processes
- Analytics & Insights: Build cost models, scenario analyses, and business impact assessments to inform data-driven decision-making. Leverage market benchmarking, trends, and external insights to inform program design and maintain competitive offerings
- Communications: Drive clear, engaging, and consistent benefits communication aligned with the employee value proposition
- Change Management: Support change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of new programs, processes, and systems
- Project Leadership: Manage multiple complex initiatives within a matrixed environment, ensuring high-quality execution and timely delivery
Requirements:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position
- Experience using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience working in large, global, matrixed organizations with the ability to influence stakeholders preferred
- Experience working within Global Fortune 50 organizations or industries such as aerospace, defense, manufacturing, high-tech, or engineering
- Knowledge of global HR and regulatory environments, along with a solid understanding of benefits methodologies
- Experience supporting regional benefits programs within a global governance model
- Demonstrated leadership, excellent communication skills, and strong professional presence
- Experience supporting benefits programs in unionized settings and during post-M&A integration is preferred
- Prior experience within a Center of Excellence (COE), HR Operations or Shared Services model
