Job Description
Product Marketing Operations Intern analyzing behavioral data, surveys, and experiments for Sezzle’s fintech shopping platform. Turning Gen Z user insights into actionable product and growth recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze feature usage, adoption, and activation data to understand user engagement with Sezzle's product ecosystem
- Identify patterns across user cohorts and surface engagement strengths, drop-offs, and causes
- Pull insights from dashboards and reports to support growth strategy updates
- Translate raw data into concise, actionable summaries for Product and Marketing teams
- Design and analyze in-app and external surveys
- Synthesize qualitative feedback from NPS, in-app tools, and user interviews
- Help manage the monthly Customer Advisory Board with 18–25-year-old shoppers
- Bring a Gen Z perspective to research findings and monitor competitor activity
- Monitor live marketing and product tests, tracking metrics and result readiness
- Summarize test results focused on engagement, feature behavior, and repeat usage
- Maintain a log of test learnings
- Refresh growth strategy documentation and validate data, insights, and live messaging
- Partner with cross-functional teammates to confirm current launches and learnings
- Conduct competitive, feature-by-feature research on product positioning
- Create reusable documentation from data analysis, surveys, and test results
- Organize and maintain insight references across Product Marketing, MarComms, and Product teams
- Ensure internal materials reflect current user sentiment and behavioral patterns
- Work directly with the Head of Product Marketing within the Product organization
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Product, Analytics, or a related field
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and turning loose direction into clear next steps
- Ability to analyze basic datasets and identify patterns or themes
- Strong written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required; candidates must be comfortable leveraging AI to enhance productivity, research, and communication.
- Previous internship or coursework related to marketing, product, research, or operations (nice to have)
- Familiarity with lifecycle marketing concepts, experimentation, or user journeys (nice to have)
- Familiarity with AI tools (nice to have)
- Interest in fintech, consumer apps, or e-commerce (nice to have)
- Being 18–25 and bringing a lived perspective on Gen Z consumers (nice to have)
