Job Description

Project Manager supporting community-based health projects at UAMS. Coordinating projects, engaging stakeholders, and aligning work with funding requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Join the Institute for Community Health Innovation (ICHI) at UAMS as a Project Manager to support community-based projects that drive meaningful change.
  • This role involves coordinating project aspects, implementing work plans, managing outreach activities, and overseeing event and meeting logistics.
  • You will engage stakeholders, manage administrative tasks, and contribute to process improvement as part of a cross-functional team.
  • The Project Manager will also develop and train staff on standard operating procedures, provide support in writing and documentation, and ensure work aligns with funding agency requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of general project coordination experience w/demonstrated proficiency in project planning/project development, project coordination, administrative, or other related experience.
  • OR Associate’s degree plus seven (7) years of general project coordination experience w/demonstrated proficiency in project planning/project development, project coordination, administrative, or other related experience.
  • OR High School diploma/GED plus nine (9) years of general project coordination experience w/demonstrated proficiency in project planning/development, project coordination, administrative, or other related experience.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Experience in developing and training staff on standard operating procedures.
  • Proficiency in writing, editing, and project documentation.
  • Knowledge of community-based project execution and process improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
