Job Description
R&D Project Manager advancing SAIC’s Army Maneuver modernization technologies. Managing prototypes, acquisition transitions, engineering integration, and Soldier evaluation events.
Responsibilities:
- Manage R&D project planning, schedule, cost, risk, and technical performance
- Translate maneuver operational needs into technical requirements and prototypes
- Coordinate cross-functional engineering across systems, hardware, software, and test
- Support user evaluations/Soldier touchpoints, experiments, and integration events
- Ensure compliance with Army/DoD standards, acquisition processes, and reporting
- Interface with Army Maneuver stakeholders, DEVCOM, T2COM, and MFCD leadership
Requirements:
- BS & 6+ years R&D project/program management experience supporting Army Maneuver or combat arms modernization
- Background in maneuver-enabling technologies (mobility systems, robotics/autonomy, actuation/controls, survivability systems)
- Experience with Army modernization priorities: protected mobility, adaptive sustainment, deep sensing, C2 resilience
- Strong DoD acquisition knowledge; TRL progression; prototype-to-program transitions
- SECRET clearance
- Preferred: Experience with actuation/flight controls, unmanned systems, platform integration
- Preferred: Familiarity with MDO concepts and Maneuver modernization strategy
- Preferred: Experience with DEVCOM/T2COM/PEO partners
