Job Description
Recreation Services Manager overseeing MWR programs at Diego Garcia, ensuring compliance and program excellence. Managing events and supervising staff to enhance military community morale.
Responsibilities:
- Manage morale, welfare, and recreation programs
- Supervise recreational staff and maintain program excellence
- Ensure compliance with safety standards
- Coordinate and promote recreational events and activities
- Monitor and document MWR facility use
- Oversee budgets and allocate funding responsibly
Requirements:
- A four-year degree in recreation, sports management, or business administration
- Three years of general experience in recreation principles
- Five years of specialized experience in a similar role
- Certified or able to become a certified American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Instructor
- Proficiency in officiating Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, and Flag Football
- Completion or willingness to achieve MWR Star Service, AECR training certification
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification before hire
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
- Ability to pass contract medical requirements
