Job Description

Regional Account Executive selling GeneDx genomic testing and interpretation services to genetics and pediatric healthcare providers. Managing physician relationships, lead generation, consultative sales, and territory growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Introduce and secure new business and increase existing business within genetics and pediatric segments
  • Partner with pediatric specialty call points in the assigned territory through consultative selling, education, and first-line account management
  • Generate leads and maintain physician and staff satisfaction with GeneDx programs and services
  • Coordinate sales and service activities among GeneDx team members
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure consistent follow-up and timely issue resolution
  • Implement sales and marketing plans
  • Support physician dinners, conferences, and special events
  • Prospect and establish new physician relationships by managing a physician development pipeline and communicating value propositions
  • Promote GeneDx services consultatively, determine customer needs, and recommend solutions
  • Hold in-person and virtual client meetings, with field time expected 4.5 days per week
  • Travel as needed, including some required weekends, evenings, or overnights

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Business, Marketing, or another related field
  • 2+ years in healthcare sales, preferably in a physician sales/services environment, or 2+ years of experience as a genetic counselor
  • Keen technical aptitude and ability to promote multiple service offerings and business opportunities simultaneously
  • Professional demeanor and communication
  • History of integrity and professional ethics
  • Ability to work as a team player to provide quality patient care, directly or indirectly
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and interactions
  • Ability to work independently and successfully manage time and territory activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
