Job Description
Regional Sales Engineer guiding Fortinet customers through cybersecurity transformation. Designing secure architectures and advising executives across SecOps, Zero Trust, cloud, endpoint, and network security.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with sales to qualify opportunities, define solution strategy, and align technical capabilities with customer business outcomes
- Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and security assessments to uncover operational and architectural requirements
- Design and present secure architectures incorporating networking, cloud, and SecOps components
- Deliver presentations and demos to technical stakeholders and executive decision-makers
- Serve as the primary technical expert in sales cycles for named accounts
- Advise on Zero Trust, SASE, cloud security, and SecOps modernization strategies
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-level executives and senior technical leadership
- Translate technical concepts into business value for executive-level conversations
- Support deployment transitions with professional services, technical support, and customer success teams
- Provide roadmap guidance, operational reviews, and strategic check-ins
- Continue as a trusted advisor to enterprise leadership and align evolving needs with solution capabilities
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in pre-sales or sales engineering roles in multi-location cybersecurity, networking, or cloud environments
- Strong understanding of networking, including Firewall, Network Segmentation, LAN/WAN, Wireless, routing, switching, VPNs, and TCP/IP
- Knowledge of core security protocols, including IPSec, TLS/SSL, PKI, SAML, OAuth, and RADIUS
- Ability to design solutions involving Endpoint Security (EDR, DLP)
- Ability to design solutions involving SecOps modernization (SIEM, SOAR, XDR)
- Knowledge of Zero Trust and SASE architectures
- Knowledge of cloud and hybrid security, including IaaS, SaaS, and containerized workloads
- Knowledge of identity and access management, including MFA, SSO, and PAM
- Excellent presentation, communication, and storytelling skills
- Proven track record of leading architectural discussions and aligning technical solutions with enterprise business priorities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience is preferred
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, NSE, CCNP Security, or AWS Security Specialty are preferred
- Experience in consulting or advisory roles for medium enterprise customers is preferred
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 is preferred
