Job Description

Safety Manager at Portside, Inc. driving adoption of aviation safety and compliance software for customers. Subject matter expert in aviation safety and regulatory requirements with a focus on customer collaboration and success.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for aviation safety, supporting customers in applying the platform to their safety programs, manuals, and operational workflows.
  • Lead initiatives to ensure customer safety teams successfully adopt and mature their use of the software.
  • Review, interpret, and provide recommended updates on safety manuals, SMS documentation, ASAP programs, and related policies to support best practices and regulatory alignment.
  • Provide consultative support to customers on safety program implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement (advisory-focused).
  • Analyze industry trends, regulatory updates, and audit findings to inform product strategy and customer success initiatives.
  • Gather, synthesize, and communicate customer feedback and safety use cases to Product and Development teams to guide feature enhancements and prioritization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Customer Success, and Development to ensure features and workflows align with real-world safety operations.
  • Provide leadership with insights into emerging trends, customer challenges, and opportunities within aviation safety programs.
  • Support training initiatives, webinars, and educational content related to safety best practices and software usage.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in aviation safety, operations, or regulatory compliance.
  • Experience working with safety manuals, SMS documentation, ASAP programs, and regulatory guidance.
  • Comfortable working within SaaS platforms; able to quickly learn and apply software to support customer needs.
  • Analytical and innovative, with the ability to translate operational and regulatory requirements into actionable product recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
