Job Description
Sales development associate managing retail territories and store KPIs for Wells Enterprises, a U.S. ice cream manufacturer. Rotational training across sales analytics and business development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a foundational understanding of being a salesperson at Wells Enterprises
- Manage a sales territory covering Chain Grocery Stores, Walmart's, and Independent Stores
- Deliver KPIs including call frequency, calls per day, and displays
- Perform merchandising and complete store-call requirements, including verifying pricing and distribution, scanning out-of-stocks and low inventory, reloading inventory, completing out-of-stock forms, reviewing promotions, recording store insights, securing incremental displays, and facing remaining product
- Use the Store Call Database (SCDB) and other tools for tracking and reporting
- Complete district reports such as store audits, out-of-stocks, and expense reports
- Establish customer relationships through regular store visits and interaction with key store personnel
- Follow up on issues and discrepancies
- Gain exposure to and intern with Business Development Managers, Sales Rep II's, and other sales support functions
- Observe account calls and assist with call preparation, execution, and follow-up
- Participate in corporate and functional skill-development training
- Progress through Sales organization rotations, including Category Management/Sales Analytics and likely Business Development/Account Sales
- Report to the Region Manager; no direct or indirect reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required in Business, Finance, Sales, Marketing or similar field
- Analytics coursework
- 1-2 years of sales experience and analytical experience preferred
- Strong communication, problem solving, follow-through, business acumen, analytical skills, curiosity, decision making, customer service, attention to detail, professionalism, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently; self-starter and self-motivated
- Must be able to relocate multiple times
- Ability to think on feet
- Strong desire to advance
