Job Description
Sales Development Representative Team Lead at Alkami, a cloud-based digital banking solutions provider, focusing on Community Banking. Responsible for outbound prospecting and mentoring SDRs within the segment.
Responsibilities:
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, including cold calling, email, social selling, and account-based outreach.
- Engage and qualify key decision-makers within Community Banking organizations.
- Follow up on inbound leads and convert them into high-quality Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) for Account Executives.
- Conduct in-depth account and contact research to prioritize outreach and personalize messaging.
- Partner closely with Account Executives to support territory strategies and targeted account initiatives.
- Develop a strong understanding of Alkami’s products and Community Banking use cases to effectively position value.
- Accurately track prospecting activities and maintain clean, up-to-date records in the CRM.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Events teams to support campaign follow-up and event-driven outreach.
- Provide ongoing mentorship and peer support to SDRs within the Community Banking segment.
- Support onboarding and ramp for new SDR hires.
- Create, test, and maintain outbound cadences and messaging frameworks for team use.
- Assist with training initiatives, including messaging, objection handling, and prospecting best practices.
- Help develop and maintain SDR onboarding and training materials.
- Review outbound messaging and cadences to ensure quality, consistency, and segment alignment.
- Pilot new prospecting strategies and share recommendations for broader adoption.
- Analyze and report on team-level prospecting performance and key metrics.
- Share insights and updates with Sales and Marketing leadership related to outbound effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience in sales development or business development, including outbound prospecting
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume pipeline and prioritize effectively
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence without direct authority
- Collaborative, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized and process-oriented
- Experience using CRM and sales or marketing automation tools
- Knowledge of or interest in the financial services industry, particularly Community Banking
