Job Description
Sales Representative responsible for marketing group and individual accounts. Developing marketing plans and maintaining relationships within assigned territory while working remotely in South Carolina.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and executes marketing plans for new sales and/or retention of existing accounts within assigned territory
- Prepares and presents proposals and communications to groups, agents, and/or individuals
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with groups, agents, and/or individuals
- Assesses agency, agent, group, and/or individual sales opportunities and works with groups, agent, and/or individuals to resolve problem issues
- Conducts on-going market research and provides key information that may lead to sales
- Prepares and submits required marketing reports to management detailing how best to position company products
- Maintains product/industry knowledge and marketing skills by attending trading seminars, continuing education classes, conferences, etc.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-year sales and marketing experience
- Ability to develop/maintain effective relationships with groups, agents, and potential customers
- Knowledge of marketing principles, techniques, and the marketplace
- Effective presentation and customer service skills
- Analytical or critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Effective organizational skills
- Ability to persuade, negotiate, or influence others
- Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Department of Insurance Licensure must be obtained within 60 days of hire in state employed
- 3 years customer service, provider network (preferred)
- Knowledge of mathematical or statistical concepts (preferred)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, or other spreadsheet/database software (preferred)
