Job Description
Account Executive for Public Sector driving sales for New Relic's observability platform. Engaging with government executives and facilitating sales opportunities across various sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets.
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
- Personally engage in key account sales and ongoing customer success.
- Engage senior government executives in order to close sales opportunities.
- Developing specific plans to ensure growth both long and short-term.
- Develop and continue to optimize the sales pipeline and forecast process with a focus on predictability.
- Define account strategies that allow the team to have the right potential to identify customer prospects and targets.
- Represent New Relic by driving sales opportunities with company partners.
- Measure and report results of sales against plan execution.
Requirements:
- 8+ years field sales experience selling enterprise software or business technology products and services to the State and Local government agencies and Education institutions and agencies.
- US Citizenship required.
- Technical acumen with the ability to relate it with business value and operational mission needs.
- Comfort with managing existing enterprise accounts and expanding into new agencies.
- Experience in consultative, enterprise solutions selling APM and/or Infrastructure related software tools.
- Outstanding track record of experiences and successes in growing a sales territory and exceeding assigned goals.
- Ability to forecast, manage sales expenses.
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated experience with data management and analysis.
