Job Description
Senior Analyst responsible for content configuration in P&C insurance core systems. Collaborating within Agile teams to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
Responsibilities:
- The content configuration engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and validating content solutions for Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance core systems.
- Configure and deliver content solutions for user stories of low to medium complexity within Agile project teams.
- Interpret and translate rules and requirements from standards organizations (ISO, NCCI, AAIS) into system configuration specifications.
- Debug and resolve configuration issues, identifying root causes and ensuring fixes are implemented without collateral impacts.
- Develop automated unit and integration tests to validate configuration changes and ensure quality outcomes.
- Participate in peer code reviews, demonstrating compliance with configuration standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align configuration with overall solution design and customer requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree; preferred in Mathematics, Computer Information Sciences or Business; related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement.
- Minimum 3 years related industry experience
- Proficiency in XML/XSLT document design and XPath querying.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex requirements.
- Experience with source code management tools and practices.
- Familiarity with relational database design and querying.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies and practices.
- Ability to configure high-performance, scalable content solutions.
- Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills.
- Knowledge of P&C insurance products, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to estimate implementation efforts with accuracy.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in team environments and across functions.
