Job Description
Senior Brand Manager shaping pro-focused brand strategy for Thumbtack’s home-services marketplace. Leading positioning, insights, creative direction, and AI-enabled brand content.
Responsibilities:
- Lead foundational workstreams to roll out the new brand playbook, including pro positioning and content strategy
- Educate and train partner teams and refresh brand artifacts as the market and learnings evolve
- Identify high-leverage brand growth opportunities on the pro side and translate them into creative briefs and strategic direction
- Own pro brand insights work, including audience deep dives, creative experimentation, competitive analysis, and brand health tracking
- Partner with Marketing and Communications channel owners on integrated content strategy and creative calendars
- Build cross-functional relationships across product, service, and sales organizations to communicate brand vision and align priorities
- Lead brand support for AI-driven content, including prompts, skills, brand review systems, and scaling infrastructure
- Orchestrate brand strategy and creative work for campaign launches, product launches, and major events such as the annual Pro Summit
- Serve as a senior voice on the Brand Strategy team, setting standards and driving alignment with leadership and stakeholders
Requirements:
- 6-8+ years of brand marketing experience, with a strong focus on brand strategy, positioning, and messaging; experience marketing to SMBs is a plus
- Experience defining and implementing brand strategy, including brand promises, positioning frameworks, playbooks, and messaging architecture
- Experience setting brand vision and roadmap, operating upstream of campaigns and influencing broader organizational brand thinking
- Experience designing and managing brand health measurement programs, including brand tracking, awareness, perception, and brand lift
- Strong creative judgment and experience writing creative briefs, guiding creative agencies and in-house studios, and partnering with creative teams
- Experience designing and running creative experimentation programs
- Analytical rigor; ability to plan and execute research with internal or external research partners and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into insights, recommendations, and business cases
