Job Description
Senior Brand Strategist shaping Airbnb’s long-term positioning, campaigns, and cultural storytelling. Translating consumer insight and cultural signals into compelling strategy for creative and marketing teams.
Responsibilities:
- Define where the Airbnb brand should move over the next three to five years
- Develop strategic points of view that align senior leaders and cross-functional teams
- Write briefs guiding advertising and brand development across traditional, digital, social, and emerging media
- Translate research, cultural signals, and business priorities into actionable consumer insights
- Define product and portfolio positioning and shape go-to-market strategy
- Bring cultural, media, and social perspectives into brand and campaign strategy
- Partner with creative teams throughout global campaigns and product launches
- Evaluate creative work against strategy and improve its focus, distinctiveness, and effectiveness
- Build strategic narratives and presentations for senior leadership
- Raise the standard of strategic thinking and writing across the marketing organization
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience leading brand strategy, in-house or at a leading creative or brand strategy agency
- Exceptional writing ability with a demonstrated track record of producing clear, concise, persuasive, and creatively inspiring strategy
- Experience developing brand positioning, campaign strategy, creative briefs, and strategic narratives
- Experience partnering with creative teams across advertising, design, media, and other cross-functional disciplines
- Strong analytical skills and experience translating quantitative and qualitative research into actionable insight
- Strong cultural and social fluency, with a clear point of view on how brands earn attention, relevance, and credibility
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, including experience influencing senior leaders
- Ability to simplify complex problems and create clarity in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity
- Must work West Coast hours (PST)
