Job Description
Senior BDO expanding three+one’s liquidity and treasury fintech solutions among public entities across eight Midwestern states. Owning territory strategy, pipeline, and full-cycle sales.
Responsibilities:
- Own the full sales cycle from territory development and prospecting through discovery, product demonstrations, proposal development, negotiation, and close
- Develop and execute territory strategy using market knowledge, public financial data, existing relationships, and public-sector priorities and buying cycles
- Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline
- Prioritize opportunities and focus efforts on new business generation
- Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across public entities and higher education institutions
- Uncover complex needs and position three+one’s solutions against financial and operational priorities
- Identify and pursue opportunities across counties, cities, school districts, colleges, and universities
- Meet or exceed pipeline and revenue goals
- Maintain accurate forecasts and provide leadership visibility into pipeline health, opportunity progression, and expected results
- Maintain timely sales activity and opportunity records in the CRM
- Leverage public-sector market, competitive landscape, and emerging-trend knowledge in prospecting and territory strategy
- Manage conference participation from planning and engagement through post-event follow-up
- Report to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)
- Travel up to 25%
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree plus seven (7) years’ work experience
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant sales experience
- Master’s preferred
- Demonstrated experience selling directly to local government, K-12, higher education, or other public-sector entities
- Strong understanding of public-sector buying processes, decision-makers, and sales cycles
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and independently closing new business
- Demonstrated ability to build and develop a territory, generate qualified pipeline, and move opportunities through the full sales cycle
- Experience building trusted relationships and selling to C-suite and senior executive decision-makers
- Demonstrated success in consultative sales, translating complex client needs into relevant solutions and business value
- Experience in public finance, treasury management, banking, fintech, or other solutions supporting public-sector financial or administrative operations is preferred
- Understanding of value-based sales methodologies is preferred
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for diverse audiences
- Professionalism, trustworthiness, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive client information and proprietary systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Results-driven and adaptable
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment with minimal supervision
