Job Description

Sr. Compensation Consultant at Gainwell analyzing compensation policies and programs for healthcare improvement. Collaborating with HR to design strategic compensation plans and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a compensation consultant to HR partners and management regarding compensation policies, programs and issues.
  • May be a team lead for a practice area or unit within Compensation.
  • Performs more complex analyses of jobs, wages, salaries and organizational structures to evaluate and ensure internal equity, external competitiveness and legal compliance of the unit's pay practices.
  • Recommends and implements changes to salary ranges, budgets and/or policies.
  • Considers internal and external factors and overall strategic plan.
  • Designs and recommends variable compensation programs such as bonus plans, incentive compensation and sales compensation to management to meet the needs of the business unit and/or organization.
  • Ensures plans are competitive while within the budgetary constraints and overall compensation strategy of the organization.
  • Participates in the annual performance review and merit increase process.
  • Develops program materials and counsels unit management on distribution of dollars based on performance reviews and addresses compensation related concerns.
  • Reviews recommended salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines, policies and practices.
  • Approves and processes adjustments within established level of approval.
  • Oversees and/or prepares compensation reports, programs and other initiatives and presents findings/recommendations to HR partners or management.
  • Reviews existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommends appropriate courses of action.
  • Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, industrial relations, liberal arts or related field.
  • Preferred Certification in Compensation.
  • Eight or more years of compensation experience.
  • Advanced Excel expertise, including complex formulas, modeling, and data analysis.
  • Power BI proficiency for data visualization and business insights.
  • Forecasting and predictive analytics experience to support compensation planning.
  • Automation experience to streamline compensation processes and reporting.
  • Ability to assess, evaluate, and deliver data driven recommendations for compensation decisions.
  • Compensation reporting experience, including stakeholder ready outputs.
  • Dashboard development experience to monitor trends, effectiveness, and outcomes.
  • Experience leveraging Aon and Mercer surveys for submission, benchmarking, and competitive pay structure development.
