Job Description

Senior Project Manager delivering complex gas turbine, steam turbine, and generator upgrades for GE Vernova’s energy business. Managing customer relationships, execution, schedules, financials, risks, and margins.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the senior GE Vernova representative and primary customer focal point throughout upgrades and repair projects.
  • Own stakeholder relationships and drive issue resolution.
  • Direct project execution across engineering, procurement, logistics, field/outage execution, and performance demonstration.
  • Champion on-time delivery, contract deliverables, and margin attainment.
  • Interpret and implement contract terms and conditions.
  • Manage pricing, costs, forecasts, margins, invoicing, receivables, and risk provisions.
  • Drive project schedules with the Planner/Scheduler and identify, mitigate, and escalate risks.
  • Manage and communicate project changes using established change management processes.
  • Maintain project scope, schedules, financials, risks, and current documentation in the management system.
  • Provide status updates, lead project reviews, and capture lessons learned, best practices, and Cost-of-Poor Quality cases.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University
  • Minimum 8 years of experience related to power generation equipment, including gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, or HRSGs, in field engineering, commercial, engineering, sourcing, repair, power plant operation/maintenance, or an adjacent role
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time
  • Obtain Gas Power Services PMO Project Manager Qualification within 24 months, including required training, review board, and PMP certification or equivalent
  • Maintain PMO Project Manager Qualification through ongoing training and recertification
  • Project management certification such as PMP/PMLP is desired
  • Customer-facing and technical scope experience is desired
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Adaptability for managing multiple initiatives
  • Ability to navigate cultural and contractual complexities
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable, is required as a condition of employment
