Job Description
Senior Field Applications Engineer advancing customer electronics designs for Arrow Electronics. Supporting sales, suppliers, and strategic engineering initiatives across the Philippines.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize an advanced understanding of customer needs and technical leadership expertise to champion return on engineering investment
- Drive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs
- Leverage Arrow’s engineering and design services resources to identify and facilitate customer solutions
- Apply technical expertise to influence designs through solution selling, resources, and strategies
- Partner with sales across pre- and post-sales activities, providing advanced technical support and consulting
- Drive technical calibrations and research with sales, Arrow departments, and suppliers in support of customer designs
- Champion design win priorities, initiatives, and promotions by obtaining sales buy-in and support
- Attend supplier trainings in person and via conference calls
- Assess supplier technology strengths and weaknesses in relation to market needs
- Manage supplier and customer expectations and maintain stakeholder updates on activities, plans, and initiatives
- Build relationships with key decision makers within suppliers and customers
- Participate in strategic branch meetings and QBRs
- Develop and drive strategic technical plans by supplier line or customer solution
- Organize engineering customer events
- Support design services initiatives as needed
Requirements:
- Degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering
- At least 2-3 years of related experience in R&D, Design and/or field applications
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build good relationships with customers and understand and support customers’ technical/engineering needs
- Proactive, positive and can-do attitude
