Job Description
Senior Project Manager leading SAP MES implementations and optimization for Fusion Consulting, a global life sciences consultancy. Delivering compliant pharma manufacturing transformations across complex stakeholder environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end SAP MES implementation, interface, and upgrade projects from initiation through closure
- Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery through comprehensive project planning and resource optimization
- Manage cross-functional IT, operations, quality, and regulatory teams
- Analyze manufacturing processes and system performance to identify optimization opportunities
- Implement data-driven solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency
- Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and EMA requirements
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Facilitate change management to support adoption of new systems and processes
- Report project status, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Mentor junior project managers
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience
- At least 3 years managing SAP MES implementations in pharmaceutical or life sciences environments
- Expertise in SAP MES interfacing, configuration, customization, and system optimization
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, GMP standards, and FDA and EMA compliance requirements
- Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent agile certification
- Ability to manage complex, multi-site projects with cross-functional teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Advanced proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience with budget management and resource planning
- Preferred: SAP S/4HANA implementation experience
- Preferred: Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement methodology training
- Preferred: Change management expertise and organizational transformation experience
- Preferred: Experience managing multiple pharma manufacturing sites or global project portfolios
