Job Description

Proposal Manager at Reveal shaping and authoring responses for defense and federal clients. Works collaboratively to drive proposal lifecycle from inception to submission.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the full proposal lifecycle from pre-solutioning support through final submission.
  • Work directly with Portfolio teams, Product Managers, Engineering, and senior leadership to develop solution approaches and win themes.
  • Independently drive proposal activities, schedules, and decision points.
  • Communicate proposal status, risks, and required decisions to senior leadership clearly and concisely.
  • Identify risks, gaps, and breakdowns in proposal efforts and take corrective action without waiting for direction.
  • Serve as primary author for the majority of proposal volumes and sections.
  • Extract, synthesize, and translate input from subject-matter experts into evaluator-focused proposal content.
  • Edit, normalize, and integrate contributions from multiple authors into a single cohesive voice.
  • Incorporate color team feedback and leadership edits efficiently while maintaining compliance and narrative integrity.
  • Manage proposal iterations under tight timelines while balancing accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
  • Develop sufficient technical understanding of Reveal’s products, architectures, and solution concepts to independently shape proposal narratives.
  • Proactively elicit, challenge, and refine inputs from technical SMEs to close gaps, resolve ambiguity, and ensure proposal content is technically credible and complete.

Requirements:

  • At least 4-5 years of writing experience
  • Demonstrated experience authoring successful SBIR, CSO, and BAA proposal submissions for U.S. Government customers.
  • Background working at a modern, technology-driven defense contractor, startup, or non-traditional defense company delivering software, data, or emerging capabilities.
  • Proven ability to independently draft high-quality proposal content and manage multiple, overlapping deadlines in a high-tempo environment.
  • Strong written communication skills with a clear, direct style tailored to government evaluators and technical reviewers.
  • High comfort operating with ambiguity, incomplete inputs, and rapid decision cycles typical of early-stage and innovation-focused programs.
  • Demonstrated track record of owning proposal outcomes end-to-end, including content quality, compliance, and submission readiness, with minimal oversight.
