Job Description
Senior analyst supporting Java, Angular, API, and cloud applications for CVS Health’s pharmacy benefits business. Troubleshooting production incidents, implementing fixes, and improving enterprise system reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Provide production support for critical business applications
- Troubleshoot technical issues and investigate production incidents
- Perform root cause analysis
- Implement code fixes
- Support enterprise applications built on Java, Angular, APIs, and cloud platforms
- Ensure application reliability and system performance for the PBM business
- Contribute to application enhancements and stability improvements
- Collaborate with Lead Engineers, Software Development Engineers, Product Owners, QA teams, and business stakeholders
- Support application operations, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Analyze application logs, monitoring dashboards, and system alerts to diagnose production issues
- Participate in incident management, problem management, and change management processes
Requirements:
- 5–8 years of experience in software development, application support, or production support environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices-based applications
- Experience developing and supporting front-end applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting enterprise applications in Azure, GCP, AWS, or similar cloud environments
- Strong understanding of SQL and database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
- Experience analyzing application logs, monitoring dashboards, and system alerts
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control systems, and DevOps practices
- Understanding of distributed systems, API integrations, and application performance troubleshooting
- Experience with incident management, problem management, and change management processes
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Experience supporting healthcare, PBM, or other highly regulated environments preferred
- Knowledge of EDI transactions, file transfer processes, and system integrations preferred
- Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, or similar monitoring and observability tools preferred
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes preferred
- Experience working within Agile development teams preferred
- Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code preferred
- Understanding of security, compliance, and data privacy best practices preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education, professional training, and relevant work experience will be considered
