Job Description

Service Engineer providing technical advice and site service in Australia for water treatment solutions. Managing chemical stock, monitoring equipment, and ensuring site compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all chemical stock levels on site – cooling, boiler wastewater systems
  • Order chemical stock as required
  • Empty drum removal
  • Sample and/or test cooling and boiler waters as required
  • Report and correct any faults
  • Record all test and monitoring results and enter into our record keeping system used
  • Check all chemical dosing and monitoring equipment at least weekly
  • Report or correct faults
  • Clean where necessary
  • Visit each maintenance manager (or colleague) at least weekly
  • Collection and dispatch of biological samples
  • Perform any cooling tower cleaning or cleaning supervision as required
  • Corrosion coupon collection and installations
  • Report on water and/or chemical leaks and other unusual events
  • Carry out any equipment reprogramming and/or recalibrations as required
  • Perform any manual dosing as/when required
  • Maintain good quality housekeeping

Requirements:

  • Demonstrates safe work practices and can identify hazards
  • Experience with boilers, cooling towers or both
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Self-starter and ability to manage and priorities own workload
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake tasks of a repetitive nature
  • Good eye for detail
  • Good verbal communication and ability to liaise with customers
  • Potential to develop into account manager role
  • Ability to travel and current drivers’ license
  • Trade certificate or degree in Chemistry/Science would be highly regarded
