Job Description
Solution Architect designing enterprise scheduling architectures for Kinaxis, a global supply chain orchestration technology company. Translating manufacturing requirements into scalable configurations and guiding complex customer implementations.
Responsibilities:
- Define and own the Enterprise Scheduling solution architecture, including functional design, data structures, constraint models, integrations, and system behavior
- Partner with the Solution Architect to align the end-to-end solution architecture
- Serve as the primary solution architect for Enterprise Scheduling-only implementations
- Facilitate detailed scheduling blueprint sessions
- Translate manufacturing requirements into scalable configurations
- Define heuristics, dispatch rules, look-ahead behavior, changeover logic, and constraint-resolution strategies
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Troubleshoot complex scheduling behavior and resolve data configuration issues
- Provide root-cause analysis and recommend configuration patterns
- Provide functional leadership and implementation support
- Mentor consultants and partners on solution quality, scheduling implementation methods, architecture patterns, and deployment best practices
- Oversee delegation of configuration tasks
- Collaborate with Product teams on feature gaps, capability extensions, and architectural guidance
- Influence roadmap discussions through customer insights and solution best practices
- Support services sales opportunities by articulating solution approaches and value to stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Information Technology or related field
- Minimum 8 years of broad experience in software implementation consulting in the supply chain planning or supply chain execution space
- 3+ years as a solution architect or lead functional consultant for enterprise-scale supply chain transformation projects
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills
- Ability to guide discussions across planners, schedulers, project teams, and stakeholders
- Ability to work in fast-paced, matrixed environments
- Strong initiative and leadership capabilities
- Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Proven interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring skills within cross-functional teams
- Subject matter expertise in supply chain concepts and best practices
- In-depth experience with supply chain solutions and scheduling applications such as OMP, SAP PPDS, Blue Yonder, or o9 Production Scheduling
- Experience producing detailed blueprints translating scheduling requirements into technical specifications
- Technical leadership experience in data integration, data management, system configuration, and system deployment for supply chain software implementations
- Proficiency with SQL, JavaScript, or scripting languages used in solution configuration
- Willing and able to travel between 50% to 75% annually
