Job Description

Solutions Architect designing Service Desk, NOC, and IT Operations solutions for TEKsystems clients. Leading proposals, costing, contracts, delivery-team assembly, and large-scale managed-services engagements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop solution proposals covering technical approach, estimates, implementation, team structure, pricing, and contracts
  • Identify, scope, and create solutions for complex deliverable-based, fully outsourced, and large-scale engagements
  • Provide solutioning, account interaction, service design development, and practice pipeline support
  • Present proposals for Service Desk, Deskside Services, NOC, and IT Operations Support engagements
  • Understand customer business and technical requirements and mature solution designs with customers and stakeholders
  • Assemble delivery teams and coordinate practice, delivery, and account team members
  • Consolidate solution status and costing information across project stakeholders
  • Manage sales and solutions risks, opportunities, issues, and change control
  • Support contract development, SOWs, PCRs, RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs
  • Partner with sales to drive new business opportunities from initial practice engagement through closure
  • Analyze practice pipelines, opportunities, product lines, and solution health
  • Support account strategy development and execution
  • Ensure sales-to-delivery knowledge transfer and adherence to solution and sales methodologies
  • Monitor engagement profitability, staffing levels, hours allocation, and future business opportunities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, relevant experience
  • 10+ years’ broad experience in Service Desk, Deskside Services, Network Operations, or IT Operations
  • At least 7 years of experience in professional services consulting
  • Experience delivering projects/programs, including significant OCM aspects
  • Experience delivering and administering client professional services agreements
  • 10+ years of established consulting and interpersonal experience with frequent Director-level and CXO-level customer interactions
  • Ability to develop, market, and sell services and products
  • Experience with OCM processes, stakeholder identification, communication, adoption, and rollout strategies desired but not required
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills with a strategic mindset
  • Ability to prioritize and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Experience leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt approach and demeanor to shifting situational demands
  • Ability to solve complex problems involving high-volume and contradictory information
  • Up to 25% travel may be required
