Job Description
Solutions Engineer helping Cisco customers use Splunk products to investigate, monitor, analyze, and act on data. Translating technical solutions into business value alongside sales teams.
Responsibilities:
- Become familiar with the Splunk product line through observatory sessions with tenured Solutions Engineers
- Partner with tenured Solutions Engineers while they work
- Shadow customer calls
- Assist with presentation development, workshops, and technical concept proof events
- Meet weekly with the team, manager, and mentors to discuss learning
- Develop presentation skills and prepare to present technical concepts to customers
- Discover and understand customer needs
- Collaborate with peers to develop a knowledge resource for incoming Solutions Engineers in training
- Evangelize Splunk products and services to customers
- Serve as the technical member of the Customer Account Team and trusted advisor to customers and Sales Representatives
- Collaborate with the Splunk team to identify solutions for important customer business scenarios
- Translate technical concepts for business audiences
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of full-time work experience in any industry
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Interest in cloud technology, analytics, and data
- Passion for learning and experimenting with mechanical or software technology
- Ability to understand customer needs and translate technical concepts for business audiences
- Record of meeting and exceeding success criteria in previous roles
