Job Description

Data center implementation manager leading Greenfield, colocation, and infrastructure upgrade projects. Coordinating MEP contractors, OFCI equipment, budgets, schedules, and site construction for Lambda’s AI cloud.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end execution of multiple concurrent data center infrastructure projects
  • Manage Greenfield builds, colocation white space fit-outs, equipment upgrades, and lifecycle replacements
  • Oversee MEP contractors and equipment suppliers during construction
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, low voltage, network engineering, operations, HPC, supply chain, and technical project management teams
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, forecasts, scope objectives, and construction progress
  • Review OFCI equipment submittals and oversee procurement and installation
  • Participate in design reviews covering designs, Sequence of Operations, Basis of Design documents, and commissioning plans
  • Assist with RFPs, proposal evaluations, vendor selection, and vendor performance oversight
  • Prepare and deliver detailed reports to executive leadership and project teams
  • Provide formal and informal updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct construction site visits to assess progress, design implementation, quality, and specification adherence
  • Contribute to design improvements, emerging technology adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 10+ years of experience managing data center construction or critical infrastructure projects
  • Proven experience managing data center construction projects, including Greenfield builds, colocation fit-outs, and infrastructure upgrades
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including electrical, mechanical, and low voltage trades
  • Experience managing OFCI equipment procurement, submittals, and installation processes
  • Proficient in reviewing technical design documents, including Basis of Design, Sequence of Operations, and commissioning plans
  • Skilled in construction schedule and budget management, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, and Smartsheet, and construction tracking/reporting platforms
  • Strong documentation, writing, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform regular data center site visits and travel 50%
  • Ability to work in the United States; applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States or obtain sponsorship
