Job Description
Staff Product Manager leading Veterans Affairs healthcare products at Ad Hoc. Modernizing legacy systems and guiding Agile teams delivering secure digital services for Veterans.
Responsibilities:
- Lead product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a large healthcare-focused digital product supporting Veterans
- Provide product leadership and strategic oversight for a secondary Tier 3 support product while partnering with an existing product lead
- Serve as the primary product partner for government stakeholders, engineering teams, designers, and cross-functional delivery teams
- Drive legacy modernization efforts by helping transition users from legacy systems to modern digital experiences
- Translate business objectives and user needs into prioritized product backlogs and actionable delivery plans
- Partner with Scrum teams to deliver incremental value through an Agile development process
- Balance competing priorities while making informed product decisions with incomplete information
- Communicate product strategy, priorities, risks, and tradeoffs to technical teams, executives, and government stakeholders
- Collaborate across multiple organizations to remove blockers, align priorities, and successfully deliver product outcomes
- Champion user-centered product decisions while balancing mission needs, technical constraints, and business priorities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of relevant experience; relevant years of experience may be substituted for education
- 3+ years leading cross-functional Agile product teams
- Experience serving as the primary product manager for externally facing digital products
- Experience leading products using Agile Scrum methodologies
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct authority
- Strong experience managing product roadmaps, prioritization, and stakeholder expectations in complex environments
- An active Public Trust (Tier 2) security clearance is required on Day 1
- Candidates with an active Secret or Top Secret security clearance are encouraged to apply and will be fast-tracked through the required Public Trust clearance process
- Must be able to maintain the required security clearance throughout employment
- Desired: experience leading consumer-facing healthcare or medical technology products involving PHI, medical records, patient portals, laboratory results, or clinical notifications
- Desired: experience supporting federal government digital services programs
- Desired: experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs
- Desired: experience leading legacy modernization or digital transformation initiatives
- Desired: experience supporting live production environments, including Tier 3 support, incident management, or operational product ownership
