Job Description
Supplier Manager overseeing third-party manufacturing and sourcing strategies at Shionogi Inc. Managing product supply and driving improvements in cost, quality, and service.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the implementation and execution of the sourcing strategy for assigned commodities and/or products
- Ensure product supply and ongoing cross-functional coordination
- Deliver annual improvements in total cost, quality, and service
- Support development of strong business systems to manage supplier partnerships
- Monitor and uphold contractual requirements related to managed products
- Champion annual productivity improvements and pursue continuous quality improvement and cost reduction opportunities
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of sourcing or operations experience or equivalent in Pharma or Medical Device industry
- B.S. or B.A. degree in scientific, technical, or business discipline
- Knowledge of quality systems and cGMPs
- Experienced with third party vendor manufacturing management
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to travel, up to 50%
