Job Description

Talent Acquisition Specialist leading recruitment efforts for ALX Africa. Focus on sourcing and hiring top talent while developing hiring guides and building external partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for technical and non-technical roles, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand requirements and create tailored hiring strategies
  • Develop and maintain hiring guides and resources to ensure consistency and efficiency in the recruitment process
  • Identify, evaluate, and establish partnerships with external hiring partners, including recruitment agencies, talent communities, and diversity-focused organizations
  • Manage relationships with hiring partners and ensure alignment with company hiring goals and values
  • Organize and participate in recruitment events, hackathons to build talent pipelines, either in person or virtually
  • Analyze recruitment metrics and provide regular reports to stakeholders on hiring progress and challenges
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in technical recruitment and talent acquisition
  • Incorporate verified AI driven tools to the selection process to drive hiring efficiency and meet the demands in hiring in the age of AI
  • Support the development and implementation of employer branding initiatives to attract top talent
  • Ensure a positive candidate and hiring manager/team experience throughout the recruitment process
  • Any other tasks as prescribed by the Director of People

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in technical recruitment, with a strong understanding of technical roles (e.g., software engineers, data scientists, DevOps, etc.)
  • Excellent sourcing skills, including the use of tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and other technical platforms
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners
  • Experience in creating and maintaining hiring guides or recruitment playbooks
  • Knowledge of recruitment metrics and the ability to analyze data to improve hiring processes
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment software such as Greenhouse
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
