Job Description
Technical Account Manager advising EDB's largest customers on Postgres and AI solutions. Driving technical strategy, architecture, troubleshooting, and successful enterprise adoption.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain post-sales relationships with EDB's largest and most complex customers
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to drive successful customer outcomes and support continued adoption of Postgres technology
- Act as the customer's primary point of contact for all technical areas of EDB
- Establish close working relationships with customers' senior technical leadership teams
- Help customers maximize the value of their Postgres investment
- Assist customers in developing and deploying Postgres strategies
- Provide technical leadership for major Postgres initiatives, including solutions consulting, architecture guidance, and project management
- Maintain current functional and technical knowledge of the entire EDB product line
- Provide product feedback to EDB product management teams based on customer requirements
- Document best practices for developing and deploying EDB solutions
- Serve as a front-line technical resource for best-practice guidance and informal customer questions
- Travel up to 25% of the time as required
Requirements:
- At least five (5) years of hands-on experience with Postgres, Oracle, DB2 or MS SQL Server
- Advanced technical skills in data management platforms, operating systems, cloud technologies, and technical architecture
- Knowledge of data analytics and AI/ML concepts
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Excellent analytical skills regarding technical and project management issues
- Good understanding of strategic sales process
- Organizational skills with ability to manage competing client demands
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to interact and communicate with CxO-level personnel
- Professional certifications in relational databases are desirable
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent technical training or industry experience preferred
