Job Description

Technical Sales Representative supporting Hypersteel cold-form building solutions at a North American exterior-products manufacturer. Training customers, troubleshooting software, and coordinating technical sales projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with builders, dealers, distributors, architects, developers, general contractors, and other key industry partners
  • Support multiple sales channels including direct retail, distribution, dealer networks, and turnkey building providers
  • Work across a brand-agnostic environment, supporting multiple product lines and routes to market
  • Train customers on technology platforms, product and process details through the sales and building process
  • Oversee video training and product manuals to address onsite challenges and issues
  • Help customers understand metal building systems, product applications, and installation processes
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across customer segments and markets
  • Collaborate with customer service, operations, engineering, and sales leadership to support customer and project success
  • Assist customers with systems, processes, project coordination, and product selection
  • Support business development initiatives expanding adoption of light gauge steel building solutions
  • Provide high-level customer service and resolve issues while managing customer expectations
  • Build customer credibility through communication, product knowledge, responsiveness, and relationship management
  • Visit job sites for key first-time customers and installers to validate inventory management, structural compliance, and correct installation procedures
  • Serve as liaison between sales and customers for design support, software troubleshooting, and engineering-related order changes
  • Support sales during the sales process and technical functions involving software updates and enhancements
  • Occasionally deploy to customer locations or tradeshows for onsite support

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years equivalent experience in the Construction Industry
  • 2 years of steel building design and/or erection experience
  • Track record of developing a deep understanding of customer and market needs
  • Self-starter with ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and work independently
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, CRM, and other ERP order softwares
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skill
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Occasional lifting of product samples, literature, or training materials up to 25 lbs
  • Proactive team thinker and customer-centric
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
