Job Description
Territory Manager growing Abbott’s structural heart surgical valve business across Wisconsin. Building provider relationships, supporting cardiac procedures, and delivering account sales strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and support Abbott Structural Heart’s Surgical Valves division
- Partner proactively with the Regional Sales Director and Senior Territory Manager
- Develop business growth strategies and risk mitigation plans to achieve sales objectives within assigned accounts
- Negotiate customer contracts and elevate market growth opportunities
- Build relationships and collaborate with healthcare providers
- Monitor and communicate market dynamics and competitive activity to Abbott Surgical Valve leaders
- Develop and implement sales strategies based on product and reimbursement needs of assigned accounts
- Promote Abbott products and grow sales revenue in assigned accounts
- Collaborate with interventionalists, echocardiologists, sonographers, cardiac anesthesiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, and catheter lab management
- Generate referrals, schedule procedures, and support good clinical outcomes for patients
- Partner with the local Senior Account Manager on clinical case coverage, technical support, in-service programs, and training
- Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly action plans
- Analyze sales figures, reports, market data, and other analytics
- Discuss issues and developing trends with the Regional Sales Director to help achieve sales targets
Requirements:
- BS/BA or equivalent experience required
- Degree in Life Sciences or Marketing preferred
- 5+ years of related sales experience in the medical device industry, preferably cardiovascular or structural heart, or equivalent clinical orientation
- Experience with products used in interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery
- Familiarity with echocardiology and other indirect imaging
- Strong organizational, communication, and process skills
- Ability to support business planning, strategic planning, forecasting, sales processes, and inventory management
- Travel requirements of 50% or more
- Verification of satisfaction of vendor credentialing requirements, which may include COVID-19 vaccination
- Ability to meet applicable Abbott Corporate and Divisional Policies and Procedures
