Job Description
Territory Manager selling Abbott’s congenital structural heart devices across Michigan hospitals. Managing sales strategy, clinical support, customer training, contracts, and territory growth.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the assigned territory meets or exceeds sales objectives
- Work with the Regional Director to identify and evaluate market opportunities and sales potential
- Establish and achieve annual sales objectives in the assigned territory
- Coordinate activities with clinical consultants
- Negotiate contracts with external customers
- Keep the company informed of market dynamics and competitive activity
- Sell products through scheduled sales calls with current and potential customers
- Develop and implement sales strategies for existing and potential hospital accounts
- Develop action plans by analyzing sales figures and reports
- Identify key accounts, healthcare professionals, and business issues affecting product use
- Observe procedures in hospital laboratories and operating rooms
- Establish pricing packages with Abbott Vascular personnel
- Develop relationships with hospital personnel and identify purchasing decision makers
- Perform sales support activities including customer training, VIP trips, orientations, launches, and updates
- Build networks through trade shows, educational conferences, and seminars
- Educate external customers on product merits and clinical usage through presentations and demonstrations
- Maintain clinical and technical expertise through company product training
- Assess managed care trends, competitor strategies, and new product development
- Prepare and submit reports to sales management
Requirements:
- BS/BA or equivalent experience
- 3-5+ years of related work experience
- Verification that you will satisfy all vendor credentialing requirements, which may include vaccination for COVID-19
- Degree in Life Sciences or Marketing preferred
- Medical industry sales experience preferred
- Strong sales and clinical orientation preferred
- Experience with products for use in interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, and electrophysiology preferred
- Familiarity with echocardiology and other indirect imaging preferred
- Electrophysiology and/or Structural Heart sales experience receives stronger consideration
