Job Description

Account Executive supporting manufactured housing insurance brokers for Brown & Brown. Preparing coverage proposals, negotiating policies, and managing renewals, claims, and policy data remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare proposals to meet coverage requirements for agents’/brokers’ risks
  • Provide advice and recommendations to Producers and agents/brokers based on technical knowledge of insurance markets and products
  • Consult with agents/brokers to evaluate needs and determine appropriate coverage
  • Negotiate policy terms and coverage with carriers and agents/brokers
  • Set up and maintain policy files and renewal systems
  • Review policies for accuracy
  • Enter and maintain data in the AMS360 computer system
  • Submit claims and policy changes
  • Invoice premiums for carrier payments and payment collections
  • Submit surplus lines filing requests
  • Develop and maintain positive broker relationships through meetings
  • Assist the Profit Center in reviewing and qualifying new business submissions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least two to five years of commercial insurance or managing general agency experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Property and Casualty Insurance License preferred; required within 90 days of hire
  • Understanding of general insurance processing functions
  • Broad understanding of insurance policies, forms, and applications
  • Knowledge of multiline Property and Casualty coverage and products
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete assignments within required timeframes
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of motivation to achieve necessary involvement within a team
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel routinely or periodically and drive a personal or rental vehicle
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record at hire and periodically thereafter
  • Maintain minimum acceptable insurance coverages and limits defined by Arrowhead/Brown & Brown
  • AMS360 knowledge preferred
  • Microsoft Excel knowledge preferred
