Job Description
Account Executive growing Kiva Confections’ cannabis edible sales through key-account management and retail partnerships. Driving revenue, distribution, promotions, and new business across Chicago.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow relationships with key accounts and designated accounts within the assigned market
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
- Achieve revenue targets and expand sales within existing accounts
- Prospect for and close new business opportunities within the assigned territory
- Build and maintain relationships with owners, buyers, dispensary managers, budtenders, and other stakeholders
- Design and implement sales-driving activities with Trade Marketing Managers and retail partners, including promotions, incentives, displays, merchandising, product launches, and training
- Use data and analytics for decision-making, strategy development, and performance measurement
- Expand Kiva brands and product distribution within existing accounts
- Contribute to KPIs related to field activities, sales, distribution, and brand awareness
- Record retailer interactions, contact information, activities, and follow-up tasks in Salesforce
- Report directly to the Senior Sales Manager
- Travel frequently to retailers, client sites, trade shows, and industry events
Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelors’ degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years of experience in leading and managing Key Account relationships, with a proven track record of generating significant revenue
- Must meet Kiva's Motor Vehicle requirements
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience in CPG, spirits/wine/beer and/or cannabis highly preferred
- Proficient in using Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Experience using distribution ERP is a plus
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass Motor Vehicle Report requirements
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
- Experience working with a well-recognized, premium brand company
- Passion for the cannabis industry
- Ability to travel regularly by car and occasionally by plane within the assigned market
- Ability to use a computer, tablet, phone, and standard office equipment for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift, carry, and set up materials weighing up to 25 pounds
